Build what’s next with us.
Huck Media is at an exciting point.
Over the last five years, we’ve built a commercial production company trusted by brands like the CFL, Destination Ontario, Hockey Canada, Canlan Sports, Sherwood and others.
Now we’re looking for a full-time Producer.
This isn’t a role where you’ll manage one piece of the process. You’ll become a key part of how the company operates: helping shape productions, improve systems, strengthen client relationships, and build a business that’s just getting started.
If you’re excited by ownership, variety, and the opportunity to have a real impact, we’d love to meet you.
About Huck Media
We create commercials, brand films, and digital campaigns for brands that inspire people to get outside, compete, explore, and connect.
Our work spans sports, outdoor, tourism, and lifestyle, but what ties every project together is our belief that great work comes from genuine collaboration, thoughtful planning, and a relentless attention to detail.
We’re intentionally building a small, talented team that cares deeply about both the work and the people behind it.
Why We’re Hiring
Until now, every project has flowed through the founder. From sales and creative development to production, client management, and post-production, one person has worn many hats. That’s worked well, but it’s also become the biggest constraint to growing the business.
We’re looking for someone who wants to become a trusted partner. Someone who brings structure where there’s complexity, keeps projects moving without constant direction, and helps build the operational foundation for the next stage of Huck Media.
What The Role Looks Like
No two weeks look the same.
One day you might be sourcing crew, negotiating location fees, and building production schedules for a commercial shoot. The next you could be running a client production meeting, reviewing edits with our freelance post team, or helping build a treatment for an upcoming pitch.
You’ll spend time on set making sure productions run smoothly, while also owning the details that happen before and after the cameras roll.
Sometimes you’ll be solving complex production problems. Sometimes you’ll be picking up a piece of gear because that’s what the day requires.
If that kind of variety energizes you rather than overwhelms you, you’ll love this role. We’re looking for someone who is willing to do what it takes to get the job done – even if it’s outside their job description.
What You’ll Own
Project Management
Lead projects from kickoff through final delivery while keeping clients, crew, budgets, and timelines aligned.
Production
Coordinate talent, crew, locations, logistics, schedules, and everything else needed to make a production successful.
Post-Production
Manage freelance editors, client feedback, revisions, and deliverables across multiple formats and platforms.
Client Experience
Run project-specific meetings, communicate confidently with clients, and become the operational lead throughout production.
Creative Support
Help build treatments and presentations, organize creative materials, and contribute ideas throughout the process.
Whatever It Takes
Whether that’s solving an unexpected problem, sourcing a last-minute prop, or jumping in wherever you’re needed, you’re happy to do what’s required to keep the project moving.
Who You Are
We’re less interested in titles than we are in how you work. You’re highly organized and naturally detail-oriented. You don’t wait to be told what to do – you notice problems early and solve them. You move quickly without sacrificing quality. You communicate clearly with clients, crew, and teammates. You enjoy creating systems, improving processes, and making complicated things feel simple. You take responsibility for actions and results – good and bad.
Most importantly, you’re excited by the idea of building something.
This Role Probably Isn’t For You If…
You prefer waiting for direction instead of taking initiative. You need constant supervision or frequent check-ins to stay moving. You believe certain tasks are beneath your title. You’d rather stay behind the scenes than communicate directly with clients. You enjoy routine more than variety.
Where This Can Go
Initially, you’ll support larger productions while independently leading smaller ones. As the company grows, so will your role. Our expectation is that this position evolves into a Senior Producer role, with a clear path toward becoming Head of Production.
If you’re looking for a place where your contribution can genuinely shape the future of a company, this is that opportunity.
Why You Might Love Working Here
You’ll work directly with the founder and have a meaningful voice in how projects are produced. You’ll work on a wide variety of commercial productions with brands that care about great storytelling. You’ll help shape the systems, culture, and standards of a growing production company.
Every project is different. Every challenge is different. You’ll never be bored.
Compensation
We believe great people should share in the success of the company they help build.
This role offers:
- Salary: $67,500-$77,500 based on experience
- Performance Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus tied to company and individual success
- Vacation: 3 weeks paid vacation
- Equipment: Company-provided laptop and any tools required for the role
- Professional Development: Opportunities for training and continued growth
